Sutter West Bay Medical Group in Oakland, CA is seeking an experienced Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join Alta Bates Summit Medical Center. The role entails a 50/50 split between adult cardiac and thoracic surgery with a 1:3 call schedule and strong multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Board-certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
• Minimum five years of post-training experience.
• Expertise in adult cardiac surgery (coronary, valvular, aortic) and thoracic surgery; commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical care across adult cardiac and thoracic surgery (50%/50%).
• Perform CABG, valve surgery, complex aortic procedures, and lung surgery.
• Manage acute and chronic aortic syndromes, including dissections.
• Collaborate closely with interventional cardiology, heart failure, imaging, and pulmonology teams.
