Job summary

Sutter West Bay Medical Group in San Francisco is seeking a board-certified Thoracic Surgeon to join our Thoracic Surgery Associates team. This role focuses on minimally invasive and robotic thoracic procedures, including lung resections and chest wall reconstruction.

The ideal candidate will lead our thoracic oncology program, collaborate across disciplines, and drive clinical quality and patient experience across the system.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Thoracic Surgery.
• Completion of accredited General Surgery residency.
• Completion of accredited Thoracic/Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship.
• Eligible for unrestricted California medical license.
• DA VINCI robotic and VATS expertise is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex thoracic procedures, including lobectomy and segmentectomy.
• Lead and contribute to multidisciplinary thoracic oncology program.
• Participate in tumor boards and care conferences.
• Engage in academic activities, teaching, and clinical research.
• Provide patient-centered care with emphasis on minimally invasive approaches.
