Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is hiring a RN Navigator in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Omaha clinic. The role expects you to deliver high-quality patient care, coordinate with physicians and the care team, and guide patients through treatment planning and education.

The position is full-time, with a Monday–Friday schedule in an ambulatory setting. Required BSN, at least 2 years of nursing experience, and RN licensure; BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Successful completion of annual mandatory education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate care to patients and families.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments; tailor care to needs.
• Develop and revise individualized care plans with the team.
• Implement care interventions safely and according to policy.
• Maintain professional behavior and effective communication with the care team.
• Assist in risk reduction and incident reporting.
• Coordinate patient education and care with multidisciplinary team.
• Support treatment planning conferences and survivorship planning.
• Refer patients to support programs and resources.
