Job summary

Corewell Health's Cardiothoracic ICU in Grand Rapids is seeking a dedicated Nurse Technician to support critical care teams caring for post‑operative and transplant patients. You will assist with complex ICU procedures, monitor vitals, document care, and contribute to individualized patient plans under RN supervision.

Orientation includes 8am‑4:30pm classes, followed by hands‑on weeks with a preceptor, shift rotations, and potential fall orientation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Within 90 Days
• Inpatient care experience is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with ICU procedures including ART line placement, vitals, blood sugars, wound care, catheterization
• Charting and documenting care timely; provide safety sitter support as needed
• Support development of individualized care plans and patient privacy
• Help maintain clean environment and report equipment issues
