The Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) is a 36-bed ICU located in the Meijer Heart Center specializing in highly acute post-cardiac and advanced heart failure patients. Nurse techs are able to care for a wide range of patients and devices including heart/lung transplant patients, post-operative open-heart patients, and more. We are experts in caring for the most critically ill patients in our area and throughout Michigan. We are at the forefront of cardiac medicine, engaging in cutting-edge innovation and research.

ICU Orientation weeks will require flexibility to train during weekdays for several weeks, before phasing into regular night shifts. Nurse Technicians act as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
