Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a Nurse Technician to support the Cardiothoracic ICU team during night shifts. You will assist with complex ICU procedures, charting, and patient care under RN supervision, while contributing to safety and high-quality outcomes.

The role requires an HS diploma, BLS within 90 days, and preferred inpatient care experience. Orientation includes 11 weeks training; part-time schedule provides weekend rotation and 12 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Within 90 Days
• 1 year of inpatient care experience is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with ICU procedures under RN supervision, including vital signs, wound care, catheterization, charting.
• Provide 1:1 patient safety sitter support when floated to other units.
• Contribute to individualized care plans and ensure timely documentation.
• Maintain patient environment and report equipment malfunctions.
