Job summary

The APP will liaise with surgeons, nursing staff and the Cardiac Cath Lab, contributing to patient care continuity, rounds, orders and follow-up through thorough notes and coordinated communication.

Qualifications

• PA program completion with applicable certification.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• RN license and/or NP certification as applicable.
• BLS/ACLS/AED training from approved providers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to assess, diagnose and treat in inpatient cardiology.
• Document findings in progress notes and manage orders accordingly.
• Assist in procedures and coordinate pre/post operative care.
• Liaise with cardiothoracic surgeons, nursing and attendings daily.
• Support ACC/NYS reporting and uphold best practice standards.
• Provide safe, compassionate patient care and quality service.
