Tower Health is seeking a Cardiopulmonary Technician to join Reading Hospital in Reading, PA. This role supports anesthesia services and OR readiness, helping care for patients and prepare for complex procedures.

The ideal candidate brings an Associate Degree or equivalent experience, BLS certification within 60 days, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and clerical tasks is valued as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• 2 year/associate degree or relevant experience required.
• BLS certification within 60 days of hire.
• LPN or Certified Anesthesia Technology Program certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists the anesthesia provider in caring for patients.
• Prepares for complex cases such as open-heart surgery, valve replacements, pacer lead extractions, and transplants.
• Assembles and maintains anesthesia equipment; assists with OR turnovers; stocks and cleans operating rooms.

Job Summary

Available Cardiopulmonary Tech Positions:

• M-F 9AM-5:30PM; Weekend, Holiday and Call Rotation

The Cardiopulmonary Technician

• Assists the anesthesia provider in caring for patients.
• Assists the anesthesia provider in preparing for complex cases such as open-heart surgery, valve replacements, pacer lead extractions, and liver and kidney transplants.
• Assembles equipment used for anesthesia related procedures, maintains anesthesia equipment, assists with operating room turn overs, and cleans/stocks operating rooms.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

• 2 year/Associate Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Associate Degree
• Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
