Job summary

Pottstown Hospital, part of Tower Health, is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patient status, and perform routine tasks in a safe, compassionate manner.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, be at least 18, and hold BLS certification. Prior direct patient care is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Perform routine direct patient care activities following policies and procedures.
• Observe patients and report changes in condition to RN.
• Perform skills including phlebotomy and POCT.
• Assist with daily living activities and maintain patient hygiene and comfort.

Job Summary

• Responsible for providing nursing care to patients under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse.
• Perform routine direct patient care activities following established policies and procedures in a manner conducive to the safety and comfort of the patient.
• Perform observations of patients and reports changes in patient condition to the registered nurse.
• Perform specific skills including phlebotomy and point of care testing (POCT).
• Assist in all aspects of daily living activities for the patients, including, but not limited to general hygiene of the patient, changings, light housekeeping, and patient vitals.
