Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health in Nashua, NH is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to support the Cardiopulmonary Rehab department on a per diem, day shift basis. You will design personalized exercise programs and educate patients to safely improve cardiovascular and pulmonary health.

Key duties include administering 6-Minute Walk Tests, leading individualized and group sessions, creating home exercise plans, teaching telemetry basics, scheduling patients, and emergency response within scope.

Qualifications

• Degree in Exercise Science required.
• Current BCLS certification required.
• Basic knowledge of nutrition and cardiac/pulmonary anatomy recommended.
• Skilled in assessing BP, HR, and O2 saturation; proficient with MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Administer 6-Minute Walk Tests for patients.
• Develop and lead individualized and group exercise sessions.
• Create home exercise programs tailored to patient needs.
• Educate patients on telemetry monitoring, pulse taking, and cardiac risk reduction.
• Schedule new patients and maintain timely documentation.
• Respond to emergency situations within scope of practice.
• Deliver community education programs and stay current with evidence-based practices.
