Job summary

Saint Mary's Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks a Per Diem Exercise Physiologist to join our Cardiac Wellness/Rehab team. You will assess patients, craft individualized exercise prescriptions, monitor programs, and contribute to patient education within a multi-phase cardiac rehab setting.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field, BLS certification, and experience in cardiac rehab; ACSM/ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science or Health/Fitness required.
• Specialization in Cardiac Rehabilitation preferred; Master's degree preferred.
• 2 years' experience in hospital-based Cardiac Rehabilitation and Wellness programs preferred.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certificate; ACSM/ACLS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop appropriate exercise prescriptions and treatment regimens for adult cardiac rehab patients.
• Provide education on exercise and health promotion for various populations.
• Perform exercise testing prep and tests under cardiologist supervision.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program.
