Job summary

Southern NH Medical Center in Nashua, NH is seeking an Exercise Physiologist for a per diem Day shift. You will design and supervise personalized exercise programs for cardiopulmonary rehab patients, perform assessments, and educate patients on safety and lifestyle changes.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Exercise Science, current BCLS, and strong skills in BP/HR/O2 monitoring, MS Office, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in Exercise Science.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Basic knowledge of nutrition and cardiac/pulmonary anatomy.
• Skilled in assessing BP, HR, and O2 saturation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communicator with multitasking and patient-care prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Administer 6-Minute Walk Tests and Timed Get Up and Go assessments.
• Develop and lead individualized and group exercise sessions.
• Create home exercise programs tailored to patient needs.
• Educate patients on telemetry monitoring and cardiac risk reduction.
• Schedule new patients and maintain timely documentation.
• Respond to emergency situations within scope of practice.
• Deliver community education programs and stay current with evidence‑based practices.
