Job summary

BMCHS seeks a Registered Nurse in the Cardiology/Telemetry Unit (6 West Telemetry) on 36-hour night shifts. You will provide direct nursing care, coordinate with the health care team, document patient data, and support quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements include MA RN license, BLS, ACLS within 90 days, PCC within 1 year, and BSN consideration within 4 years; 1+ year RN experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
• PCC Certification required within 1 year of hire
• Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years of hire
• 1+ year RN experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in Medical Surgical/Telemetry units, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education.
• Communicate effectively with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities with inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records and document care.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow organizational guidelines and policies BMCHS.
• Assist leadership with quality improvement initiatives.
