Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Patient Access/Registration professional to schedule appointments, verify insurance, and collect pre-service payments while delivering excellent customer service and precise data entry.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and knowledge of insurance guidelines to ensure timely pre-certification and full verification for hospital visits. On-site work is expected in the Revenue Cycle area.

Responsibilities

• Data entry into scheduling system for various areas including patient, physician and staff information; ensure accuracy of procedures, codes and insurance details.
• Identify available times for scheduled procedures while ensuring time for insurance verification and authorization.
• Perform medical necessity checks on applicable appointments and complete ABN notifications when needed.
• Obtain complete insurance information and verify eligibility and benefits with payors and providers.
• Document and verify patient demographics, policy numbers, subscriber and payor details in ADT system.
• Ensure accuracy of all scheduled and non-scheduled inpatient/outpatient accounts for authorization timelines.
