Job summary

Idaho Falls Community Hospital is seeking a Manager of Cardiology to oversee daily operations in non-invasive and invasive cardiac imaging, partnering with the Medical Director to drive budgets, quality initiatives and departmental education.

This leadership role requires building strong relationships with other department managers, managing staff development, and ensuring high-quality patient care within a modern Hybrid OR environment.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered Idaho RN license or graduate of an accredited Allied Health program.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for leadership role.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience in a cardiac setting or related area.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workflow, staffing, orientation, training and development for Cardiology staff (Cardiac Catheterization).
• Collaborate with Surgical Services and Hybrid OR leadership to ensure high-quality care.
• Develop and monitor quality metrics and performance improvement opportunities.
• Create, implement and interpret department and hospital policies and procedures.
• Monitor patient volumes, quality of care and staff performance to maintain high standards.
• Prepare and defend annual departmental operational budgets and revenue optimization.
• Evaluate capital equipment requests and negotiate pricing with vendors.
• Foster productive relationships through problem solving and conflict resolution.
• Lead vendor relations for new equipment, supplies, or product lines.
