Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to perform and coordinate patient care across the continuum in Illinois and Wisconsin, in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Nursing (Doctoral preferred), state licensure, BLS, and board certification recommended; experience across care continuum preferred; DEA and NRP preferred; COVID-19 vaccine required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing plus 5 years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Doctoral degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Experience in management of patients across the care continuum preferred.
• Licensed in the state of practice as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Board certification from the National Certification Corporation is preferred.
• Controlled Substance license in state of practice is preferred.
• Federal DEA license is preferred.
• NRP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs and/or coordinates patient care in area of expertise utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers along the continuum of care.
• Demonstrates advanced nursing skills through assessment, diagnosis and treatment of complex patients in area of specialty.
• Communicates the plan of care in area of expertise to other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Provides care for patients of all ages according to the standards of care specific to the individual's needs.
