Hospital Sisters Health System in Wisconsin is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate patient care in a specialty area, using the nursing process in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

The role supports patients across ages with care aligned to standards, and requires leadership in care planning, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of complex cases, within a large health system.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing plus 5 years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Doctoral degree in Nursing preferred.
• Licensed in the state of practice as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is required.
• Wisconsin DHS or IDFPR licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Board certification from the National Certification Corporation preferred.
• Controlled Substance license in state of practice preferred.
• Federal DEA license preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs and coordinates patient care in area of expertise utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers along the continuum of care.
• Communicates the plan of care in area of expertise to other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Provides care for patients of all ages according to the standards of care specific to the individual’s needs.
• Primary duty includes the performance of work requiring advanced knowledge, in a field of science or learning, and which requires the consistent exercise of discretion and judgment.
