Job summary

Heart One Associates in Phoenix seeks a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to support physicians in clinical and administrative duties. The role involves preparing patients, taking vital signs, performing basic cardiology tests, and documenting findings under physician supervision.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, an accredited MA program, and 2+ years in cardiology, with CMA/RMA certification preferred and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of cardiology experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cardiac rhythms / 12-lead EKGs.
• Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems; strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Be positive, helpful, friendly, and professional to patients, physicians, and staff.
• Prepare patients for visits by obtaining vital signs and relevant measurements.
• Verify medications and document them in the chart.
• Perform EKGs, ABIs, and Padnet tests as directed by physicians.
• Triage urgent calls and communicate results to physicians.
