Job summary

Heart One Associates in Peoria, AZ seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians with clinical and administrative duties. You will prepare patients, perform EKGs and basic tests, manage communications, and assist with patient flow to ensure quality care.

The role requires a high school diploma (CMA or RMA preferred) and experience in cardiology; strong teamwork and patient confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cardiology experience preferred.
• CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cardiac rhythms /12-lead EKGs.
• Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for office visits by obtaining vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, ABIs, and Padnet tests as directed by physicians.
• Triage urgent patient calls and elevate to the appropriate physician as needed.
• Assist with medication refills and prior authorizations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality patient care.
