Job summary

Heart One Associate, LLC is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to perform clinical and administrative duties under physician direction. The role supports examination and treatment of patients in a cardiology-focused practice and requires strong organization and HIPAA compliance.

The position involves managing staff duties, triaging calls, maintaining supplies, and ensuring accurate documentation while delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiology experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cardiac rhythms
• Working knowledge of 12-lead EKGs
• Knowledge of Holter/Event monitors
• Knowledge of Coagucheck monitor and protime adjustment.
• Working knowledge with computers

Responsibilities

• Be positive, helpful, friendly, supportive, sincere, and genuine to patients, physicians, and staff.
• Be attentive and responsive to requests in a timely manner.
• Be punctual and regular in attendance.
• Follow all office policies and procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality as governed by HIPAA.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and quality care during clinic hours.
• Serve as a liaison between patients and medical staff, providing excellent customer service.
• Oversees provider messages/encounters and ensure tasks are answered in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties assigned by manager
