Job summary

INTEGRIS Health Cardiovascular Physicians Cardiology Outpatient Clinic in Ponca City, OK is hiring a day shift, full-time Medical Assistant. The role includes direct patient care, vitals, history, venipuncture, and coordinating referrals under supervision.

The position requires current Medical Assistant certification/registration or at least 6 months of clinic MA experience, with CPR/BLS within 90 days. Excellent English communication and customer service skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification/registration.
• 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written).

Responsibilities

• Gathers and documents information about patient condition, including lab values, pain levels, education needs, nutritional status and potential complications.
• Contributes to assessment/re-assessment of patients.
• Monitors and documents patient status.
• Participates in development of the plan of care and implementation/evaluation of interventions including medication administration (excluding narcotics).
• Manages large call volume while maintaining telephone etiquette.
• Organizes workflow to meet patient needs in a timely manner.
• May retrieve and transport medications.
• Reports to assigned director, manager, supervisor or lead.
