Job summary

West Valley Cardiology Services is hiring a Medical Assistant to join our caring team. You will prepare patients for examination, take histories and vital signs, and support the clinical workflow to deliver high-quality care.

The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, dayshift with no nights, on-call, weekends, or holidays, and requires one year of direct clinical experience and Medical Assistant certification either already or within the allowed period.

Qualifications

• One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Medical Assistants who recently graduated must obtain Medical Assistant certification within 60 days of employment OR candidates with one year of MA experience without certification must obtain certification within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms and maintain supplies/equipment.
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians in minor surgeries and physicals.
• Answer telephone calls and screen referrals.
