DHR Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for Valley Cardio Shared. The role supports clinical and clerical tasks under a physician's direction, including taking patient histories, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with procedures.

The candidate should have a Medical Assistant program completion, be BLS certified within 30 days of hire, and be proficient in computer use with good communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred.

Responsabilités

• Record patients' medical history and vital statistics in medical records.
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure supplies are stocked and clean.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs.
• Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures as directed.
• Translate for patient/provider as needed and assist with insurance authorizations or verifications.
