VitalSolution in Laredo, Texas seeks an Interventional Cardiologist for a flexible block schedule. The role includes inpatient/outpatient duties, 24/7 call during scheduled blocks, and a broad range of diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. Board-certified applicants with recent PCI experience and TX licensure are preferred. Competitive compensation and community-focused practice are offered.

• 50 PCIs in the last 18 months.
• TX License – Licensure facilitation provided.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient Consults and Rounding.
• Outpatient cardiology.
• 24/7 call during block schedule.
• Diagnostic LHC/RHC – Coronary angiography.
• Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) /IVUS.
• Nuclear cardiology studies.
• Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE).
• Supervise or interpret stress testing.
• Echocardiogram (ECHO).
• Cardiac Cath – Diagnostic/PCI.

Interventional Cardiology Role in Laredo, Texas – Flexible Block Schedule

Cardiology Position Highlights:

• Schedule: Full-time equivalent (182.5 days/year) with a structured block schedule (ex: 7 day on/7 days off, 14 days on/14 days off), giving you predictable time on and true time off
• Contract Length: 1-3 year contract
• Team: Work closely withPCPs & Hospitalists

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Inpatient Consults and Rounding
• Outpatient cardiology
• 24/7 call during block schedule

Diagnostic & Interpretive Duties:

• Diagnostic LHC/RHC – Coronary angiography
• Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) /IVUS
• Nuclear cardiology studies
• Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
• Supervise or interpret stress testing
• Echocardiogram (ECHO)

Procedures:

• Cardiac Cath – Diagnostic/PCI
• Cardioversion
• IABP/Impella
• Temporary Pacemakers
• Permanent Pacemakers (Preferred but not required)
• Peripheral Diagnostic and Intervention (Preferred but not required)
• TAVR(Preferred but not required)

Requirements:

• Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology
• 50 PCIs in the last 18 months
• TX License – Licensure facilitation provided
