Job summary

VitalSolution in Louisiana is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for a 1–3 year contract with a 7 days on/7 days off block schedule. The role includes inpatient consults and rounding, outpatient clinics, and 24/7 call during blocks.

Expect performance of diagnostic angiography, PCI, and noninvasive testing with a collaborative team environment. Board-certified in Interventional Cardiology with recent PCI activity is required, along with LA licensure assistance.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology is required.
• Performed 50 PCIs in the last 12 months.
• Team-based care with APP collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient consults and rounding.
• Outpatient cardiology clinic duties.
• 24/7 call during block schedule.
• Diagnostic LHC/RHC and PCI procedures.
• FFR/iFR/IVUS and nuclear cardiology studies.
• TEE and stress testing supervision or interpretation.

• Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Inpatient consults and rounding
  • Outpatient cardiology clinic
  • 24/7 call during block schedule
• Diagnostic & Interpretive Duties:
  • Diagnostic LHC/RHC – Coronary angiography
  • Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR)
  • Instantaneous wave-free ratio (iFR)
  • IVUS
  • Nuclear cardiology studies
  • Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
  • Supervise or interpret stress testing
• Procedures:
  • Cardioversion
  • Cardiac Cath – Diagnostic/PCI
  • IABP
  • Temporary Pacemakers
  • Pacemaker Implants (preferred but not required)
  • Peripheral Intervention
• Collaborative Environment: Work closely with APP

Requirements:

• Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology
• 50 PCIs in the last 12 months
• LA license: IMLC State – Licensure facilitation provided
• LA DEA
