Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree in healthcare related field or Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Previous administrative, clerical or scheduling experience required.
• Hospital, Medical office or medical scheduling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology including CPT codes and insurance reimbursement requirements.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate Diagnostic Imaging procedures according to department protocols.
• Collect and document complete patient medical history to ensure safety and appropriateness of procedures.
• Obtain accurate patient insurance information to ensure reimbursement.
• Provide pre-procedure instructions and information to patients.
• Coordinate with physicians, office staff and departments to ensure smooth workflow and patient care.
