Qualifications

• One year of front office medical receptionist experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 40 wpm typing and basic computer/math skills.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work calmly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Verifies and updates all demographic and insurance information in PM.
• Scans insurance cards and licenses into PM.
• Ensures Privacy Notices and yearly updates are signed.
• Explains financial policy and collects co-pays and amounts due.
• Reconciles cash bags and daily deposits.
• Schedules tests and referrals per physician orders.
• Creates new patient charts and prints reminders.
