Job summary

Sectra is seeking an experienced Cardiology Technical Engineer to configure, deploy, and support cardiology solutions across on‑premise, hybrid, and cloud‑hosted environments. You’ll work with hospital IT and clinical teams to ensure reliable workflows in Echo, ECG, Cath, CT, and Nuclear Medicine.

The role emphasizes cloud workloads in Azure, automation, and ongoing optimization, with 25–50% travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Biomedical or Health Informatics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years implementing or supporting enterprise software in customer environments.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Windows Server and SQL Server administration.
• Strong understanding of networking and security concepts.
• Proficient scripting for automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash).

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and support Sectra cardiology solutions across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments.
• Deploy and manage cardiology workloads in Azure and other cloud platforms.
• Integrate with third‑party cardiology systems and cloud-based solutions.
• Collaborate with customers to validate clinical workflows across Echo, ECG, Cath, CT, and Nuclear Medicine.
• Troubleshoot complex issues from infrastructure to application layer.
• Support migration of cardiology environments to cloud or hybrid architectures.
• Implement automation and infrastructure‑as‑code for repeatable deployments.
• Assist with DR, HA, monitoring, and business continuity planning.
• Contribute to scoping, SOWs, cloud sizing, and architectural assessments.
• Partner with Project Managers and vendors to ensure successful delivery.
• Establish cardiology configuration standards and deployment patterns.
• Serve as escalation resource for cardiology workflows and cloud infra.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, training, and enablement across the org.
• Travel to customer sites ~25–50%.

In this role, you will configure, deploy, and support Sectra’s cardiology solutions across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud-hosted environments. You will work closely with hospital IT teams, clinical users, project teams, and external partners to deliver reliable solutions supporting critical workflows across Echo, ECG, Cath, CT, and Nuclear Medicine departments.

What You Will Do

• Configure, deploy, and support Sectra cardiology solutions and associated modules across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud-hosted environments
• Deploy and manage cardiology workloads in Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms, including compute, storage, networking, identity, and image archive services
• Configure and maintain integrations with third‑party cardiology systems, imaging platforms, and cloud‑based or SaaS solutions
• Collaborate with customers to understand and validate technical and clinical workflows across Echo, ECG, Cath, CT, and Nuclear Medicine departments
• Troubleshoot complex technical, workflow, integration, and cloud infrastructure issues from the infrastructure through the application layer
• Support the migration of existing cardiology environments to cloud or hybrid architectures
• Implement automation and infrastructure‑as‑code practices to create repeatable, scalable deployment processes
• Support backup, disaster recovery, high availability, monitoring, and business continuity planning for customer environments
• Contribute to project scoping, Statements of Work, cloud sizing, architecture assessments, and evaluations of technical complexity and resource needs
• Partner with Project Managers, Engineers, Application Specialists, product teams, and external vendors to support successful project delivery
• Establish and maintain cardiology configuration standards, cloud deployment patterns, technical documentation, and best practices
• Serve as a technical escalation resource and advise internal teams on cardiology workflows, system architecture, and cloud infrastructure
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, training, and enablement efforts across the organization
• Travel to customer sites as needed, approximately 25–50%

Who You Are

• You have 3–5 years of experience implementing, configuring, or supporting enterprise software in customer environments
• You hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biomedical or Health Informatics, Engineering, or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience
• You have hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud platform, preferably Microsoft Azure, including virtual machines, storage, identity, and networking services
• You have solid experience with Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server administration, including backup, recovery, and performance fundamentals
• You understand enterprise networking and security concepts such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN connectivity, firewalls, load balancing, TLS certificates, Active Directory, and single sign‑on
• You can use PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar tools to automate deployments and repeatable configuration tasks
• You have experience troubleshooting complex, interconnected systems from infrastructure through the application layer
• You communicate clearly and can explain technical concepts to clinical users, customer IT teams, and internal stakeholders
• You are organized, self‑directed, and comfortable managing multiple customer projects and priorities
• You demonstrate sound judgment when balancing global standards with customer‑specific requirements
• You collaborate across teams, share knowledge openly, and contribute to a culture where people learn from one another
• You embrace generative AI as part of your engineering toolkit to improve efficiency and quality while following Sectra’s security, data protection, and approved‑tooling policies
• You are fluent in English and comfortable working independently in both remote and customer‑site environments

It is a plus if you have

• Experience deploying or migrating healthcare applications to cloud or hybrid environments
• Familiarity with DICOM, HL7 v2, FHIR, IHE profiles, or other healthcare interoperability standards
• Experience with cardiology applications, PACS, VNA, EHR, or other clinical systems and their integration points
• Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code and automation tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or Ansible
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, or Azure Kubernetes Service
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or Grafana
• A cloud certification such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, or AWS Solutions Architect
• An understanding of healthcare security and compliance requirements, including HIPAA, HITRUST, or GDPR
• Experience working within a structured project methodology and partnering with multinational or cross‑cultural teams
