Job summary

Sectra in the United States is seeking an experienced Technical Engineer to support and optimize enterprise imaging environments used in hospitals and health systems. You will troubleshoot complex issues, analyze logs, and collaborate with engineering, security, and project teams to deliver reliable, high-performing solutions.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in technical IT roles, strong networking, Windows and/or Linux expertise, and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse

  • Strong analytical mindset and methodical troubleshooting
  • Solid networking fundamentals and Windows and/or Linux experience
  • Able to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Curious, self-driven, and committed to deepening technical expertise
  • Collaborates across teams and supports collective success
  • Experience with healthcare IT, DICOM, HL7, SQL, cloud or virtualization is beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Support customer environments by troubleshooting complex technical issues related to enterprise imaging systems
  • Investigate system behavior through log analysis, performance review, and root-cause identification
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, security, and project teams to coordinate fixes, improvements, and system optimizations
  • Support customer implementations and upgrades by assisting with system configuration and integration activities
  • Work directly with hospital IT teams and clinical users to understand workflows and constraints
  • Build long-term relationships with customers as a trusted technical contact for your portfolio
  • Participate in an after-hours support rotation once onboarded

Sectra is looking for an experienced Technical Engineer who is passionate about technology, enjoys solving complex problems, and wants to support systems that directly improve patient care. Our enterprise imaging solutions are used by hospitals and health systems across the United States, supporting critical clinical workflows every day.

In this role, you will join an established customer portfolio and take ownership of supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining real-world healthcare environments. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure systems remain stable, secure, and high performing, while continuously improving how we support our solutions.

What You Will Do

Who You Are
  • You have 5–10 years of experience in technical support, systems engineering, systems administration, or a related IT role
  • You bring a strong analytical mindset and a structured, methodical approach to troubleshooting complex systems
  • You have solid experience with networking fundamentals and Windows and/or Linux environments
  • You are comfortable working directly with customers and clearly explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • You are curious, self-driven, and motivated to continuously deepen your technical expertise
  • You collaborate across teams, share knowledge openly, and contribute to a culture where people learn from one another and support collective success
  • Experience with healthcare IT, DICOM, HL7, SQL, cloud infrastructure, or virtualization is beneficial but not required

Compensation And Benefits
  • Salary range: $95,000–$125,000, based on experience and qualifications
