Job summary

Sectra in Denver is seeking an Application Specialist to join our Customer Operations team. You will train healthcare professionals on Sectra applications, tailor learning to each customer, and support go-live activities.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in clinical imaging (MRI/CT/Cardiology/Orthopedics/Breast), strong PACS knowledge, and proven ability to mentor peers and manage multiple projects. Travel up to 80% is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years imaging technologist experience in CT, MRI, cardiology, orthopedics or breast imaging.
  • Experience leading or managing a team in a clinical setting.
  • In‑depth knowledge of PACS systems and healthcare interoperability standards.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with high quality results.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Application Specialist with a strong background in IT and clinical training to join our Customer Operations department. In this role, you will focus on helping healthcare customers optimize the use of Sectra applications, providing comprehensive training and go-live support. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in clinical imaging (MRI, CT, Cardiology, Ortho and Breast Imaging) and a strong ability to engage with customers and mentor peers. You’ll be at the heart of transforming how healthcare professionals interact with technology, enabling them to deliver exceptional patient care.

This position serves as a launchpad within Sectra, offering hands‑on experience with our products, processes, and customers. Through travel, shadowing, and continuous learning, you’ll gain the foundational knowledge and exposure needed to grow into future roles within our department. It’s a stepping stone for those eager to build a long‑term career in healthcare technology, combining technical expertise with customer impact.

Key Responsibilities
As an Application Specialist, you will:
  • Conduct workflow analysis and customize application training to meet the unique needs of each customer
  • Plan, schedule, and deliver web‑based and on‑site training for healthcare professionals, ensuring they have the skills to optimize the use of our solutions
  • Provide remote diagnostic support for technical, clinical, and end‑user challenges using cutting‑edge remote access technologies
  • Organize and manage go‑live support for new customers, ensuring a smooth transition
  • Serve as a clinical expert and support project teams and customer success initiatives
  • Develop and refine training processes to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction
  • Foster strong relationships with internal teams and customers, ensuring a positive and cohesive company image
  • Continuously innovate and improve training methodologies and technical support practices
  • Travel frequently to customer sites (up to 80% travel) as required
What You Need to Succeed
Basic Qualifications:
  • Fluency in English, with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • 5+ years’ experience as an imaging technologist (CT, MRI, Ortho, Cardiology, Breast Imaging, Analytics)
  • Prior experience leading or managing a team in a clinical setting
  • In‑depth knowledge of PACS systems and healthcare interoperability standards
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with a focus on achieving high‑quality results
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A passion for teaching and mentoring, with a proven track record of explaining complex concepts in an easy‑to‑understand manner
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a SuperUser or PACS Administrator
  • Knowledge of Sectra PACS and add‑on functionality (e.g., Volume Visualization, Teaching files)
  • Experience with multiple imaging modalities, including Radiology, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Mammography, and Pathology
  • CIIP certification or similar credentials
  • Proven project management experience
