Job summary

Sectra seeks an experienced Cardiology Application Specialist to tailor cardiology solutions around clinical workflows and train users. You will collaborate with cardiologists, sonographers, technologists, hospital leaders, and IT teams during implementation, go-live, and optimization.

You will configure workflows across Echo, ECG, Cath, Nuclear Medicine, and related departments, lead workshops, and deliver user training.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years as cardiovascular imaging technologist or sonographer.

Responsibilities

• Configure cardiology solutions to fit customer workflows across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments.

Sectra is looking for an experienced Cardiology Application Specialist who is passionate about improving clinical workflows, enjoys teaching others, and wants to help healthcare organizations get the most from their technology.

In this role, you will use your cardiology experience to configure Sectra’s solutions around customer-specific clinical workflows. You will partner closely with cardiologists, sonographers, technologists, hospital leaders, and IT teams throughout implementation, training, go-live, and continued optimization.

What You Will Do

• Configure and tailor Sectra’s cardiology solutions to support customer-specific clinical workflows across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud-hosted environments
• Co-lead customer workshops to gather requirements and define worklists, measurement mappings, user roles, departmental settings, and other configuration needs
• Analyze workflows across Echo, ECG, Cath, Nuclear Medicine, and related cardiology departments, translating clinical needs into effective system configurations
• Design and deliver training for cardiologists, sonographers, technologists, administrative staff, and other end users
• Develop and maintain training materials, quick-reference guides, configuration workbooks, and role-based learning resources
• Support application testing, go-live activities, at-the-elbow assistance, and post-live optimization to promote user adoption and proficiency
• Troubleshoot application, configuration, and workflow issues and serve as an escalation resource for delivery and support teams
• Conduct post-implementation reviews and optimization sessions to improve clinical efficiency and the overall user experience
• Assist with configuring and validating integrations with third-party cardiology systems, modalities, imaging platforms, and cloud-based solutions in partnership with integration engineers
• Contribute to project scoping, including Statements of Work, training plans, configuration assessments, and resource planning
• Partner with Project Managers, Engineers, Integration Engineers, and fellow Application Specialists to support successful project delivery
• Coordinate with external vendors regarding integrations, licensing, connectivity, and technical requirements
• Establish and maintain cardiology configuration standards, training methods, documentation, and best practices
• Collaborate with internal product and development teams to improve solution functionality, usability, and trainability
• Advise internal teams on cardiology-specific clinical workflows, application configuration, and customer needs
• Mentor Application Specialists and contribute to knowledge sharing and enablement across the organization
• Travel to customer sites as needed, approximately 25-50%

Who You Are

• You have at least five years of experience as a cardiovascular imaging technologist or sonographer in an area such as echocardiography, cardiac catheterization, cardiac CT or MRI, nuclear cardiology, or vascular imaging
• You hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• You have strong working knowledge of cardiology workflows, including diagnostic and interventional Cath, TTE, TEE, stress Echo, ECG management, and structural heart procedures
• You have experience with PACS or CVIS solutions and understand healthcare interoperability standards such as DICOM, HL7, IHE, and DICOM SR
• You are passionate about teaching and mentoring and can explain complex clinical and technical concepts in a clear, approachable way
• You are confident presenting to clinical, technical, and administrative audiences
• You are highly organized and able to manage multiple customer projects and priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail
• You are comfortable working autonomously in remote and customer-site environments
• You demonstrate sound judgment when balancing global standards with customer-specific needs
• You collaborate across teams, share knowledge openly, and contribute to a culture where people learn from and support one another
• You are fluent in English and have excellent communication and presentation skills

It is a plus if you have

• Experience as a SuperUser or PACS/CVIS Administrator within a cardiovascular service line
• Experience with Sectra PACS or Sectra cardiology functionality
• Familiarity with cardiology integrations involving EHR, hemodynamic, reporting, or other clinical systems
• Experience with imaging workflows beyond cardiology, including Radiology, Orthopedics, Mammography, or Pathology
• Registry credentials such as RCS, RCIS, RDCS, ARRT(CI), or ARRT(VI)
• CIIP certification or a similar healthcare imaging informatics credential
• Project management or implementation experience
• Experience working with multinational teams and cross-cultural stakeholders
