Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a qualified ECG technologist to perform electrocardiograms, Holter monitoring and data management across its cardiovascular center. You will support stress testing, set up TEE when needed, and serve as superuser for the ECG management system while assisting physicians in reading ECGs.

Ideal candidates have a certificate in Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia, strong English communication, and flexibility to travel within the health system as required.

Qualifications

• Understanding of medical terminology and age-related acuity levels
• One year of experience in an acute care setting or equivalent
• Certificate of completion of Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia class
• Willingness to travel between locations within the health system
• Knowledge of complex cardiac arrhythmias
• Experience in recognition of arrhythmia
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment

Responsibilities

• Perform ECGs, Holter monitoring and data management.
• Assist in the stress lab and set up TEE when needed.
• Be the superuser for the ECG management system, processes and teaching physicians to read ECGs online.
• Demonstrate professional conduct with staff, patients and visitors.
• Display self-motivation, independence and versatility.
