Job summary

UCI Health in Orange, California, is seeking an ECG Technologist to perform ECGs, Holter monitoring, data management, and assist in the stress lab. The role requires knowledge of complex cardiac arrhythmias and the ability to travel between health system locations as needed.

The ECG technologist will be the superuser for the ECG management system, training physicians to read ECGs online while maintaining professional conduct with staff, patients, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Understanding of medical terminology, infectious control techniques and age related acuity levels.
• One year of experience in an acute care setting or equivalent education and experience.
• Certificate of completion of Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia class.
• Willing to travel between locations within the health system as needed.
• Knowledge of complex cardiac arrhythmias and recognition of arrhythmia.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform ECGs, Holter monitors and data management for patients.
• Assist in the stress lab and set up TEE when needed.
• Serve as superuser for the ECG management system databases and teach physicians to read ECGs online.
• Display professional conduct with staff, patients and visitors; maintain accuracy and reliability.
