Job summary

UCI Health is seeking an ECG Technologist to perform ECGs, Holter monitors, and data management with supervision from the Cardiovascular Center. The role includes assisting in stress lab activities and setting up TEE as needed, while serving as the superuser for the ECG management system and educating physicians on reading ECGs online.

Ideal candidates hold a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia certification with at least three years of acute care EKG experience, current BLS, and strong English

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control and age-related acuity levels.
• Certificate of completion of Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia class.
• Willingness to travel between health system locations.
• Minimum three years of EKG experience in the acute care setting.
• Knowledge of complex cardiac arrhythmias.
• Experience in recognition of arrhythmia.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to maintain flexibility in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform ECGs, Holter monitoring and data management; act as superuser for the ECG management system and teach physicians to read ECGs online.
• Assist in stress testing and set up TEE when needed.
• Support the Cardiovascular Center team with professional conduct and independent work when appropriate.
