Job summary

University of California - Irvine Health seeks an ECG technologist to perform electrocardiograms, Holter monitors and data management across its cardiovascular center. You will assist in the stress lab and set up TEE when needed, acting as the superuser for the ECG management system and teaching physicians to read ECGs online.

Strong clinical knowledge of complex arrhythmias, English communication, and willingness to travel within the health system are required.

Qualifications

• Understanding of medical terminology, infectious control techniques and age related acuity levels.
• One year of experience in an acute care setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a certificate of completion of Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia class.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrocardiograms, Holter monitoring and data management.
• Assist in the stress lab and set up TEE when needed.
• Serve as superuser for the ECG management system and teach physicians to read ECGs online.
• Maintain professional conduct in interactions with staff, patients and visitors.
