Job summary

The Oregon Clinic in Beaverton, OR is seeking a full-time Device Technician (Credentialed Medical Assistant) to support the Cardiology Clinic. You will work with a collaborative team to manage implanted cardiac devices and provide patient-focused care.

You will perform device management, remote monitoring, patient education, and assist with scheduling and billing while maintaining the highest standards of privacy and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years in Cardiology preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification from a national certifying entity.
• Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire; ACLS may be required by specialty.
• Two years training in pacemaker and ICD technology preferred.
• Epic EMR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs independently with physician oversight in technical management of implanted cardiac pacemaker and ICD devices.
• Manages device patients and care, implementing treatment plans with physicians and device team.
• Troubleshoots device issues and performs device clinic triage, including patient instruction and education on device and remote monitoring.
• Assesses CIEDs and identifies sub-optimal programming, abnormal findings, and/or arrhythmias.
• Educates device patients on post-implant/wound checks, routine follow-up, home monitoring, and procedures.
• Manages external heart monitors and assists with sterile procedures.
• Provides billing and scheduling support as needed; manages remote checks, reports, and records updates.
