Job summary

Providence Health & Services is seeking a Cardiac Device Technician to support a busy outpatient device clinic. You will interrogate and assess implantable cardiac devices and manage remote transmissions while working closely with device clinic RNs and physicians.

The role requires a health/science degree, multiple certifications, and at least 2 years in healthcare or cardiac patient assessment. You will operate under physician supervision in a collaborative clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health or Science related field, or equivalent education/experience.
• Upon hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
• Upon hire: National Certified Cardiac Device Specialist – International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners.
• Upon hire: National Cardiac Device Remote Monitoring Specialist – International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners.
• Upon hire: National Certified Electrophysiology Specialist – International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.
• 2 years experience in healthcare and/or assessment of cardiac patients.

Responsibilities

• Interrogate and assess implantable cardiac devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators, and implantable loop recorders.
• Manage remote transmissions and coordinate care with device clinic RNs and physicians.
• Work under clinical supervision of implanting physicians and nursing supervisor.
