Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant for our Upstate Cardiology team. The role collaborates with the primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care, update health records, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations.

The MA cert must be current and may require BLS; one year of healthcare experience is preferred, with clerical duties and strong communication skills essential for patient interactions.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• Active Medical Assisting certification from recognized bodies (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NCCT, etc).
• ABR-OE acceptable if MA cert cannot be obtained (not in SC).
• BLS certification required at hire for some locations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with courtesy and professionalism.
• Review and update health records and vital signs.
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist with examinations.
• Review diagnostic results and manage patient charts.
• Handle clerical tasks and phone inquiries as needed.
