Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two to four years of undergraduate education preferred.
• Certified Medical Scribe preferred.
• Prior related work experience preferred but not required.
• Prior experience can count in lieu of years of education.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document patient history and exam as dictated by clinician.
• Record procedures, tests, diagnoses, and treatments in the medical record.
• Prepare referral letters and coordinate communications with physicians.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA.
• Demonstrate professional interaction with staff and patients.
• Assist with chart rounds and support with other clerical tasks.
