Job summary

Mercy Cedar Rapids is seeking a Registered Nurse to support physicians and mid-level providers in delivering patient-centered care. You will use the nursing process during clinic visits, telephonic and electronic communications, and in-person encounters with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Iowa.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Education sufficient to obtain required licensure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments, supplies and protective devices for exam and testing prior to the visit.
• Rooms and prepares the patient for examination and reviews history and vitals.
• Administer injections and phlebotomy per standing orders, and perform related testing.
• Provide instruction and test results to patients and families as directed.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures (EKG, nebulizer) and medication management.
