Job summary

Mercy is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process and to coordinate care across departments. The role requires RN licensure in the hiring state (or compact licensure) and graduation from an approved nursing program (AD, Diploma, or BSN).

Basic Life Support certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire; additional unit-specific certifications may be required depending on position/unit.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
• Must obtain and maintain an RN license in the hiring state (or compact licensure).
• Basic Life Support certification or completion within 30 days of hire.
• One or more of the listed unit-specific certifications may be required (ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, STABLE, C-EFM).

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
