Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process and to collaborate across departments. You will maintain patient rights and confidentiality while upholding Mercy Service Standards.

Graduation from an accredited nursing program with RN licensure in the hiring state or a compact licensure is required, with BLS certification and additional certifications often needed depending on the unit.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Valid RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure, meeting state board requirements.
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CP HON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, C-EFM or other unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care provided to assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
