Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN to provide direct patient care using the nursing process, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. The role emphasizes accountability, patient rights, and adherence to Mercy Service Standards on a busy hospital unit.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license (state or compact) and has BLS certification, with additional certifications (ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, PALS, C-EFM) as required by the unit.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification or completion within 30 days of hire.
• May require unit-specific certifications (ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, PALS, C-EFM, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs duties consistent with Mercy mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
