Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care on Med/Surg units. The role emphasizes using the nursing process, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of nursing program with ADN, diploma, or BSN.
• Hold or obtain RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• BLS required; ACLS/ALS or other unit-specific certifications may be required.
• One or more unit-specific certifications such as PALS, C-EFM, TNCC may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with Mercy Service Standards.
