Job summary

Mercy seeks compassionate registered nurses to provide patient care using the nursing process in a busy hospital setting. You will be accountable for care of assigned patients, coordinate with other departments, and uphold patient rights and Mercy Service Standards. Education: Nursing degree required (AD, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure: active RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure. Certifications may be required or completed within the department timeframe.

Qualifications

• RN must have graduated from a nursing program (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: active RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• Certifications: one or more unit-specific certifications may be required or obtained within department timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs duties in line with Mercy mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
