Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an LPN to support RNs and UNLs in high-acuity patient care. You will assist with medication administration, IV piggyback fluids, and routine care planning after the RN completes the initial assessment.

The role involves performing dressing changes, trach care, NG tube care, ostomy care, and reinforcing discharge instructions. Licensure as an LPN and BLS within 30 days are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) per IDFPR requirements
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA)
• College Diploma: Licensed Practical Nurse (Required)

Responsibilities

• Passes all medications and hangs IV piggyback fluids
• Charts assessments on assigned patients after RN completes initial assessment
• Charts and updates care plans with RN's input and starts new plans as needed
• Communicates with physicians/APPs to receive orders and coordinate care
• Performs dressing changes, trach care, NG tube care and ostomy care
• Reinforces education and discharge instructions
