Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital in Temecula, CA seeks a Registered Nurse - CVOR to join our operating room team. You will assist in cardio-thoracic procedures, maintain sterile technique, and support the surgical team throughout the perioperative process.

Requires OR experience; minimum two years circulating for CABG; California RN license; BLS/ACLS; CNOR preferred. We offer a challenging, outcomes‑driven environment with opportunities for growth at UHS.

Qualifications

• One year operating room experience in an acute care facility and/or surgery center.
• Minimum two years’ experience circulating for cardio-thoracic/coronary artery bypass surgery.
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Registered Nurse with current California RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Current PALS (AHA) preferred.
• CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessment appropriate to patient’s clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, age, development level, and cultural orientation.
• Initiate discharge planning for each patient upon admission as appropriate.
• Assist physician with procedures in the operating room, including cardio-thoracic surgery.
• Set up for cases and maintain sterility in the operating room per AORN guidelines.
