Job summary

Corewell Health’s Butterworth Grand Rapids campus seeks a part-time Nurse Tech for the 6 MHC Butterworth Progressive Care Unit. Responsibilities include vital signs, glucose checks, basic patient care, wound care, catheterization, and providing 1:1 coverage when floated to similar units.

Orientation covers week 1–3 with sheath removal training requirements. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and BLS within 90 days; direct patient care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
• Experience in direct patient care is preferred

Responsibilities

• Take and chart vitals and blood sugars
• Provide bed baths and ambulation support
• Perform wound care and catheterization as needed
• Act as safety attendant for patients and float to similar units for 1:1 shifts
