Job summary

Corewell Health's Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids is seeking a part-time team member to support the Progressive Care Unit Cardiothoracic Surgical 7 MHC Butterworth team. The role focuses on vitals, wound care, ambulation, and patient safety within a multidisciplinary care setting.

Responsibilities include documenting care accurately, collaborating with RNs/Providers, and addressing patients’ physical and psychosocial needs under supervision.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
• Experience in direct patient care is preferred

Responsibilities

• Taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients.
• Works as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care in clinics alongside RN’s/Providers; performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to health care team; collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual needs of patients and families.
