Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a Nursing Technician to assist with basic nursing skills under the supervision of an RN or provider, delivering compassionate patient care and documenting observations.

You will be part of the Progressive Care Unit Cardiac Vascular team at Butterworth Hospital, with day shifts and self-scheduling, 12 hours per week, offering meaningful patient support and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent
• CRT-BLS certification: AHA or ARC, 90 days required

Responsibilities

• Collects and reports patients' physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual needs in coordination with the RN/Provider and ensures accurate documentation.
• Provides direct patient care under the direction of the RN/Provider and contributes to individualized care plans with proper documentation.
• Articulates the nursing technician role to patients and health team; supports safe, quality patient care cost-effectively.
• Cleans patient environments/equipment and reports any equipment malfunctions to appropriate staff.
